The Three Fruits
Sara, Lina and Huda each have one fruit: an apple, a date and a fig. Sara's fruit has five letters. Lina's fruit is not a fig. Which fruit does Huda have?
Count the letters in each fruit's name.
Fig
Apple is the only five-letter fruit, so Sara has it. Lina can't have the fig, so she has the date, which leaves the fig for Huda.
How to solve it
Start with the clue that names a property you can check: letters. Apple has five letters, date has four and fig has three, so Sara must have the apple.
That leaves the date and the fig for Lina and Huda. Lina's fruit is not a fig, so Lina has the date. The fig is the only fruit left, so Huda has the fig.
A common slip is answering date by reading the second clue as Huda's. Quick check: apple, date, fig each used once.
