What Am I? Roads Without Cars
Read the puzzle
Three clues describe one object. Clue 1: "I have roads but no cars." Clue 2: "I have rivers but no water." Clue 3: "I fold into your pocket." The options are A: map, B: globe, C: ticket, D: book. Which object fits all three clues?
Which object fits all three clues?
A globe shows roads and rivers too. Can it fold into a pocket?
Map
Its roads have no cars, its rivers have no water, and it folds into a pocket: A.
How to solve it
Test each option against all three clues.
Clues 1 and 2 describe something that shows roads and rivers as drawn lines. A map and a globe can both do that. A ticket shows neither, and a book is not drawn as roads and rivers. So the choice is between the map and the globe.
Clue 3 decides it: a globe is a solid ball on a stand and cannot fold, while a paper map folds flat into a pocket.
The trap is the globe, which fits the first two clues well. Only the map fits all three.
Takeaway: when two options survive the early clues, the last clue usually names a physical feature that only one of them has.
